Thomas Braziel
Founder and Managing Partner
I am a partner at 117 Partners and 507 Capital, two firms that specialize in providing liquidity and value to clients and stakeholders in complex and challenging situations involving distressed and alternative credit, bankruptcy claim purchasing, and restructuring advisory. With over 14 years of experience in the investment management industry, I have developed a deep expertise in these areas and operate globally.
At 117 Partners and 507 Capital, I am responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence, negotiation, and execution of transactions involving distressed debt, liens, judgments, distressed assets, and frozen accounts. I also provide restructuring advisory and bankruptcy claim brokering and servicing to creditors and debtors. I leverage my skills in investment management, capital markets, and mathematics to analyze and evaluate opportunities, risks, and returns. I enjoy working with a diverse and talented team of professionals who share my passion for finding creative and innovative solutions in the distressed credit space.
Bruce Tan
Investment Associate
Bruce serves as an Investment Associate in 117 Partners. Before joining 117, he worked at various investment firms in the private credit and distressed investing space in Singapore. His role spans a wide range of responsibilities including, deal sourcing, due diligence, financial modelling and analysis. His background in the financial markets is complemented with his entrepreneurial and operational abilities.
Bruce previously co-founded Singapore's first digital health clinic for men, delivering discreet, direct-to-consumer healthcare solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Business Management (Magna Cum Laude) from Singapore Management University, and has contributed to authoring a Master’s level textbook in Alternative Investment.

With a dynamic career that spans retail banking, international hospitality, yacht broking and charter, interior design, management of private jet, helicopters, pilots and engineers, property management, and executive support in global maritime shipping, Margaret Carnell brings a wealth of experience to solving complex problems in today’s fast-paced world. Known for her excellent communication skills and a passion for new challenges, Margaret is committed to finding the best solutions to maximize outcomes.
